Shepherd’s Tale

Musings of a small-town Missouri Methodist pastor

It’s Been A While…

So much to do, so little time; such is the life of a part-time local pastor working a full-time secular job.

Lots to share; some good, some bad. Mostly good, since God is ALWAYS good!   :)

Suffice to say, the Lord is working major miracles in the three churches I serve; we gained two people by profession of faith (and subsequent baptism) at Bear Branch UMC…we did a major summer cleaning job at Pleasant Grove UMC (and renovated the interior front walls where there was water damage) in preparation for our ice cream social this upcoming Saturday at 6PM…and best of all, we are organizing an area-wide tent revival at Bear Branch that is reaching out to the ENTIRE area. The theme is “Revive Us Again” and it will stretch out over five days. Rev. Ron Adrian is preaching two days, and I will be handling the other three days. God has laid it on my heart that His people need revived across the board…so I would be amiss if I did not heed His calling.

Work again tomorrow (sigh)…I keep praying day in and day out that the Lord would provide the opportunity to minister full-time to HIs people at the charge that I am appointed to right now. Jeannie and I are fervently praying for this window to open wide, and for us to have the spiritual eyes and ears to recognize it.

More later..I am worn out from a wonderful Sunday preaching God’s Word!   :)
